Tampa WR Wilson Is In

The Gators have added three receivers in their last four official signings, this time inking Eugene Wilson III to an NLI.

Wilson is a four-star recruit from Gaither High in Tampa. His father, Eugene Wilson II, is a former NFL player who spent most of his career with the Patriots.

Wilson, who goes by Tre, caught 40 passes for 764 yards and 11 touchdowns his senior season. He is dangerous on the run after the catch, and started both ways his junior season of high school.

Wilson is invited to play in the Under Armour All-America Game and chose Florida over Alabama, Georgia, Florida State and Texas A&M.

Mizell Signs, Continues Family Tradition

Aidan Mizell has history with the Gators.

Both his parents graduated from UF and competed in track and field for the Gators. Mizell carried on his family tradition late Wednesday morning by signing with the Gators to play receiver.

Mizell is a 6-foot-1, 162-pound receiver out of Boone High in Orlando, where he earned consensus four-star status.

Mizell is a speedster who can stretch the field and entertained offers from Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Miami.

He is rated the No. 59 player overall and No. 8 receiver in the class of 2023 by On3.

Mizell had a breakout season as a prep junior, catching 47 passes for 1,003 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Defensive Back Jackson Officially Signs

The Gators have officially signed of their highest-rated defensive players, Kissimmee Osceola cornerback Ja'Keem Jackson.

Jackson is rated as a top 300 player nationally be ESPN and a consensus four-star recruit.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound cornerback has above-average cover skills and closing speed. He was a dangerous receiver in high school as well.

He had four interceptions as a senior and is rated as the No. 5 cornerback in the country by 247Sports.

Jackson chose Florida over Georgia, Florida State, Miami, Tennessee and others.

Gators Sign WR Jean Out of Miami

The Gators kept talented receiver Andy Jean after a late push from his hometown Hurricanes.

Jean, a 6-foot-1, 182-pound wideout from Miami's Northwestern High, signed with the Gators late Wednesday morning.

Jean selected the Gators over Miami, Alabama, Florida State, Georgia and Michigan.

He is a four-star recruit who caught 19 passes for 409 yards and three touchdowns as a senior.

Gators Add Dynamic Pass Rusher James

Following a run of offensive players signing, defensive lineman Kamran James sacked that streak.

The 6-foot-5.5, 258-pound James is from Olympia High in Orlando, where he registered 77 tackles, 26 for loss, and 14 sacks his final two seasons.

James is ranked a four-star recruit and fits into the scheme as an edge rusher. He also played basketball in high school as a junior and has length and height.

James is ranked the No. 9 recruit in the state of Florida by On3.com. He drew interest from Alabama, Georgia, Miami and Florida State.

Gators Sign Kearney Out of Orange Park

Big Rod has signed. That's the nickname of 6-foot-4, 292-pound offensive lineman Roderick Kearney.

Kearney has officially inked his NLI this morning and joined the Gators out of Orange Park High.

Kearney is a consensus four-star recruit who was coveted by programs such as Clemson, Georgia, Florida State, Miami and Michigan.

However, the Gators won Kearney over and he figures prominently in their future plans, a versatile and athletic lineman who can play different spots on the offensive line.

Kearney is rated the fifth-best interior offensive lineman in the a 2023 class by three of the four major recruiting services.

Gators Add Talented Webb to Backfield

Running back Treyaun Webb, the No. 11 running back according to ESPN and a consensus four-star recruit, has signed.

Webb rushed for nearly 3,500 yards and 48 touchdowns during his prep career at Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville.

Webb is a two-time state champion and the cousin of former Gators player Dee Webb, who played at UF from 2003-05.

Webb has a pair of former high school teammates already at Florida: offensive lineman Austin Barber and receiver Marcus Burke.

Top-Rated Center Harris a Gator

Knijeah Harris snaps a string of seven consecutive defensive players added this morning by the Gators.

Harris is a 6-foot-3, 328-pound offensive lineman from Port St. Lucie who played at the IMG Academy.

Harris garnered offers from several top programs, including Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Florida State, Notre Dame, Ohio State and USC.

However, the Gators landed the No. 1-graded center in the country according to ESPN.

Harris began his high school career at St. Lucie West Centennial before transferring to IMG Academy in Bradenton.

Georgia Native Thornton Officially Joins Gators

Florida's run of defensive players continues with the addition of defensive back Bryce Thornton.

Thornton played at Milton High in Alpharetta, Ga., where he earned four-star status and the No. 15 safety prospect in the country by Rivals.com.

Thornton's father Bruce played running back at Georgia and was a fourth-round pick of Dallas in 1994.

Meanwhile, Bryce is a defensive player, and is the seventh of eight players to sign this morning on the defensive side of the ball.

Gators Keep Hill in Gainesville

Gavin Hill has officially arrived.

He didn't have to send his NIL far.

Hill, a 6-foot-3, 264-pound defensive lineman, played high school football across town from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium at Gainesville Buchholz.

Hill finished his career at Buchholz with 60 tackles and seven sacks. He also played tight end and helped Buchholz make the state semifinals as a senior.

Hill chose the Gators over Auburn, Florida State, Kentucky and Miami.

Gators Add Another LB in Robinson

Jaden Robinson is staying close to home.

Robinson, a linebacker a Lake City Columbia High, officially signed is NLI on Wednesday morning.

Robinson is a 6-foot, 221-pound inside linebacker, a position that Ventrell Miller anchored for the Gators in 2022.

He had offers from LSU, Texas A&M and Tennessee in the SEC, and traditional powers Michigan and Notre Dame outside the conference.

Robinson is invited to the Army All-American Game after recording 93 tackles as a senior.

New Jersey DL Will Norman Signs

The Gators ventured into the Northeast to sign defensive lineman Will Norman, a 6-foot-3.5, 299-pound prospect out of Eastside High in Camden, N.J.

Norman and Alabama native Kelby Collins give Florida a pair of talented D-Linemen among the early group of players to sign this morning.

Norman is a consensus four-star recruit and rated the No. 2 overall player in New Jersey by Rivals.com.

He joins a position group looking to replace Gervon Dexter on the interior line.

Norman had offers from Florida State, Michigan, LSU, Texas A&M and Tennessee.

Highly-Rated DL Collins Signs

Kelby Collins, a strongside defensive end from Gardendale (Ala.) High, has made it official: he has signed with the Gators.

Collins is Florida's top-rated defensive prospect in the 2023 signing class, ranked among the top 75 overall recruits nationally.

Collins committed to the Gators in August. A 6-foot-5, 280-pound playmaker on the defensive line, Alabama tried to keep Collins in his home state but failed.

Collins, who is set to play in the Under Armour All-America Game, registered 47.5 tackles for loss in 31 career games at Gardendale.

West Orange's Castell Has Signed

Defensive back Jordan Castell from West Orange High outside Orlando has officially signed.

Castell is the second defensive back to join the fold this morning, joining future teammate Sharif Denson out of Jacksonville.

Castell is rated a four-star recruit who entertained offers from Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State and Tennessee.

At 6-foot-2, 205 pounds, Castell is a physical presence in the secondary and fills a position of need for the Gators.

Castell committed to the Gators in July remained committed as other schools made pushes.

Sharif Denson Makes it Official

7:53 a.m.

The Gators have signed cornerback Sharif Denson of Bertram Trail High in Jacksonville.

Denson is a 5-foot-11, 174-pound prospect who is set to play in the Under-Armour All-American Game.

Denson remained committed to the Gators despite hard pushes from Alabama and Miami.

Denson joins a secondary that has lost several players since the end of the regular season in the transfer portal.

Lovett's NLI Has Arrived

Offensive lineman Bryce Lovett is the second player in this morning for the Gators on Early Signing Day.

Lovett is a 6-foot-5, 336-pound behemoth from Rockledge (Fla.) High, where he was a three-year starter.

Lovett arrives with the size and accolades reminiscent of a top offensive line prospect in the Southeastern Conference.

He is ranked a top-50 offensive lineman nationally by the 247Sports Composite database and signed with the Gators over Arkansas, Kentucky and Iowa State, among others.

First In Class: TJ Searcy

The Gators have their first player on board on Early Signing Day.

Edge rusher TJ Searcy of Upson-Lee High in Thomaston, Ga., sent his National Letter of Intent in first and the Gators football account posted his signing at 7:18 a.m. on Twitter.

Searcy is a player at a position of need for the Gators. He is listed at 6-foot-5, 252 pounds and is a consensus four-star recruit.

He is rated the No. 20 overall defensive lineman in this class by On3.com and had 39 tackles and six QB hurries as a senior.

Searcy garnered offers from Clemson, Georgia, Florida State, Michigan and Tennessee.
